On 29th July 2017, City Love & Hope Foundation could reach it’s a 7-year of tree planting to enhance the green environment and neutralize carbon footprints since 2011.
For this year, the program took a group of CLHF and FREDA volunteers with a commitment to plant (50,000) trees. The day itself could accomplish (5000) trees at Thaephytawya Avenue, Hmawbi Township. However, FREDA continued to take responsibility the rest of (45,000) trees at Taik Gyi and Hlaegu Township respectively. This a high collaboration between FREDA and CLHF, the planting get into 150,000 plants which include 10 different types of trees is spreading over nearby Yangon City after 7 years of commitment. It consists of different religious institutions and community compounds – Monastic & Christian Centers, along with the Yangon highway and Community owned preserved forests.
“We chose to partner with FREDA to help us a mission to “Environmental Conservation in Yangon Region” while we keep focusing on reducing plastics consumption in our store outlets. The collaboration allows us to publicize the awareness and consolidate the efficiency.” Said Hninn Lae Wai, CMHL’s Corp. Comm. & PR Executive and a committee member of CLHF.
